ABOUT THE ARTIST

Celeste Piette (she/her/hers) is a Burlington-based multidisciplinary artist. She holds a B.A. in Theatre & English from UVM, where she wrote, directed, and produced several pieces including the one act play To Skip, or Not To Skip and a transmedia adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing. With a passion for many aspects of storytelling, she has written, directed, performed, produced, marketed, and costume designed for several companies in the region, including Lyric Theatre Company, Between the Willows, Vermont Repertory Theatre, and The Shelburne Players. Outside of theatre, she manages her own small business, "Celestial Stuff," which boasts a broad array of products and artistic styles, from crochet to calligraphy to pressed botanicals. She has a passion for accessible, sustainable, and equitable artistic practices, and loves a challenge when it comes to expanding her creative abilities. She has a cat named Beatrice who is her whole world.
