Katie Gilmartin

Katie is a Burlington-based theatre maker, educator, and administrator. She recently completed the Masters of Philosophy program in Theatre and Performance at Trinity College Dublin. She is currently the Theatre Operations and Development Manager at the Barre Opera House. In Vermont, Katie has worked with Lost Nation Theatre and Historically Close Friends and most recently performed as the Stepmother in Between the Willow’s production of “The Juniper Tree.” Before returning to Vermont in 2020, Katie worked in NYC with various companies, including The Anthropologists, New York Theatre Workshop, The New Group, and Playwrights Horizons. She has also been a mentor, director, and choreographer for the Burlington-based children’s company Very Merry Theatre. Katie has a BA in Theatre & Performance and Arts Management from the State University of New York at Purchase. She has studied independently with Theatre Intimacy Education, Murmurations Aerial Dance, SITI Company, and ESPA at Primary Stages.
