ABOUT THE VENUE
Named for the proprietors of The Red Lion Inn, the Main Stage was designed and built in 1888 as the Stockbridge Casino, and has served as a summer playhouse since 1928, making it one of the oldest summer theater festivals in the United States. Actors from Broadway and Hollywood regularly grace the stage.
