My Lord What a Morning!

Join the Montpelier Community Gospel Choir for an OPEN WORKSHOP from 1 - 4pm that celebrates the joy of Gospel music. MCGC's new Artistic Director Dr. James Stewart will lead participants in learning songs that celebrate the life and legacy of Gospel music great Harry T. Burleigh.

At 5pm participants will perform a concert for the community alongside the MCGC. Our “My Lord What A Morning!” workshop is open to anyone who would like to participate; no experience is necessary. This is a unique and excellent opportunity to learn about and experience the joy of singing gospel music.

Registration is required. Suggested registration price is $40; a minimum of $10 is required to register.

The MCGC performs gospel music from and inspired by the rich African American choral tradition. We honor those who created and carried this music through unspeakable hardship and faith.
