It’s 1969, and the Wonderettes are back at Springfield High (Go Chipmunks!) to celebrate their beloved homeroom teacher’s retirement. But as they sing their way through the era’s biggest girl-group hits, one of the girls announces she’ll soon be saying goodbye to follow her own dreams. Act II picks up years later, as the Wonderettes reunite at their 20-year class reunion, with the pop and rock sounds of the ‘70s setting the stage for old memories, new confessions, and their signature four-part harmonies.
