ABOUT THE SHOW
The Juniper Tree is a tragically beautiful horror story told through many different genres of dance. Set in the Victorian era, The Juniper Tree navigates the difficulties of death, family and generational trauma, and abuse. It studies a family struggling to rebuild after the death of the mother, who leaves behind a 6-year old daughter, Marlinchen, and 12-year old son, Heinrich. After the father remarries, we see how the step-mother slowly manipulates the family, and turns the dynamic around. All the while, the power of The Juniper Tree lingers.
Join us in this breathtaking journey with a soundtrack of all-queer composers, and a stunning cast of dancers from all backgrounds!
WARNING: This show contains mature themes and depicts intense concepts such as child abuse, fake blood, gore, and death. The Juniper Tree is recommended for audiences ages 13 and up
