ABOUT THE SHOW
Lysistrata by Aristophanes, translated and adapted by Edward Einhorn, and directed by Lisa Muller.
In this modern adaptation of the classic Greek play, Lysistrata has a plan to end the Peloponnesian War: all women are to withhold conjugal rights from the men of Athens until l they end the war with Sparta. Reluctantly the women agree, and what ensues is a hilarious foray into the relationships between men and women, still relevant today. Funny, before its time, and still poignant, this is a don't miss show for lovers of classic literature and those that have never heard of it.
