ABOUT THE SHOW
The New Stage Players bring The New Stage Play Festival: An Evening of Comedy to Grange Hall Cultural Center Nov 10-12 & 17-19 to lift spirits and funds for the Grange Hall Renovation Fund.
The New Stage Players invite the community to enjoy local performers and directors as they lift audience spirits and raise funds for the continued renovations on the historic Grange Hall Cultural Center building located at 317 Howard Avenue, Waterbury Center, Vermont, in a presentation of a variety of comedic storytelling. From a local call for new short plays, eight plays of comedy were chosen out of almost 350 that were submitted within the four-week call period. The playwrights presented are: Clinton Festa, Sharon Goldner, Judith Leora, Kristi LinBilluni, Chris Shaw Swanson, Rosemary Fisino Toohey, Michael Waterson, and Robb Willoughby, representing work from all over the United States.
Local directors Jeanne Beckwith, Monica Callan, Paul Cavaliere, Bob Carmody, Stephanie Seng, and Mo Sivvy, are heading up these original plays, with Krishna Arvind, Doug Bergstein, Rick Boyle, Kristina Dege, Rachel Feldman, David Lagala, Morgan Irons, Parvathi Rajaram, Lila Stratton, George Seivwright, Mo Seivwright, Mary Scripps, Michael Smith, Clem Turmel, Matthew Winston, Mary Woodruff, and Carrie Youngblood performing the roles. Thaniiska Krishna Arvind is the evening’s MC.
