ABOUT THE SHOW
Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune
by Terrence McNally
What begins as a one-night-stand turns into a playful tug of war between a short-order cook who sees a lifetime of love and adventure ahead and a waitress who is hesitant to take a leap of faith for fear of being hurt again. Terrence McNally’s contemporary American classic romantic comedy will be ‘baked off’ in June.
Take one play, break it into three parts, add three directors and three casts, and—voilà!—you've got the 12th Annual Bake Off, an engaging exploration of the “ingredients" different directors use to create the same play. More information about the chosen play and directors to come in Spring 2024.
The Bake Off is a fundraiser to benefit Vermont Stage. All proceeds go to support mainstage programming.
