Dirt Road Theater Presents the original play MONSTER for our 2023 summer performance camp. Written by Maren Langdon Spillane with music by Savannah Yates, MONSTER was conceived and devised by Dirt Road Theater’s spring play creation class.

In a distant future, the city of YouTopia is the last remaining human metropolis. Choice and self expression are controlled by the government to protect the citizens from the perils of the past, before the world fell apart. The average lifespan of 35 years old is being constantly improved upon by the genius of Dr. B and her experimentations with BioEnhancements, the merging of animal and human DNA, which has exciting and... animalistic side effects. However, not everyone is happy in YouTopia, and there is a rumor of a monster under the city that could threaten them all.
