Emma Woodhouse is Jane Austen's most maddening and endearing heroine. Clever and effervescent, young Emma is also a bit too accustomed to having her way, although only her friend Mr. Knightley seems to notice. This highly theatrical adaptation of one of Jane Austen's greatest novels tells the story of Emma Woodhouse, handsome, clever, and rich, and the other families in and around the village of Highbury. Nearly 200 years after its publication, Emma continues to delight as a coming-of-age tale and a lively satire of Austen's elegant and quirky characters.
Adapted by Michael Bloom and directed by Shelly Hudson, Emma combines Austen's lively romantic comedy with ageless stories of love - secret, unrequited, and fulfilled - and beautiful Regency fashion and etiquette.
The cast is filled with both AMP alumni and new artists from around the region
