ABOUT THE SHOW
Popcorn Falls, once a beloved tourist destination, is reeling when a corrupt politician threatens to dismantle the failing town and turn it into a sewage treatment plant. The residents' only hope to save their home - produce a play! One big problem: no theater. Another problem: no play. Waiting for Guffman meets The 39 Steps in this feel-good comedy where two actors play over twenty townsfolk trying to rise to the challenge and prove that art can save the world. Vermont Stage reopens after this moment of great turmoil with a laugh-out-loud night of soul nourishing theatre.
Popcorn Falls is appropriate for ages 12 & up. Running Time: 90 minutes with no intermission.
The Opening Night performance will include a preshow discussion with Ethan Tapper, Chittenden County Forester, to discuss forestry management for wildlife, as a part of the "First: Earth Summer Series at Isham Family Farm."
