ABOUT THE SHOW
Musical Theatre History
with Interim Artistic Director Nathan Stith
Come Zoom with us and learn more about the history of the American Musical! Each week, prior to class, you’ll watch the assigned iconic musical on your own. Then we’ll meet on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm (EDT) via Zoom where we will discuss the historical context of the original production, learn more about the creative team, and examine the contemporary relevance of the musical for modern audiences. Most of the musicals are available for rental on Amazon.com—you must have access to the musicals in order to take the class. Each class will be held from 7–8:30 pm (EDT) on Wednesday nights beginning July 8. Admission is $5 per class.
