AUDITIONS FOR PRODUCTION OF NEW WORK
Chasing Steeples by Chloe Egan, is a one-act comedy that is being produced as part of Off Center’s Spring Open Artist Showcase.
There are 6 roles (see descriptions below). The show will run either the last weekend in April or the first in May (the line up will be decided very soon). Auditions will be 7:00PM Thursday March 5th at Off Center for the Dramatic Arts, 294 North Winooski Ave.

Chasing Steeples is a coming of age comedy about post- graduate life, the idiosyncrasies of track and field, and the changing landscape of college friendships.
Longer Synopsis:
Simone, a senior in college attending her first NCAA Track and Field Championships and a separate group of college friends reuniting for a wedding cross paths in the hallway of a Courtyard Marriott. Due to an act of circumstance, Simone gets pulled into the group's shenanigans. Through their reminiscence about the strange world of collegiate track and field, she is forced to reckon with some of her fears for life post- graduation.
ROLES
Simone: Early twenties, college senior and national qualifier in steeplechase, passionate yet sarcastic and slightly neurotic
Katerina: Mid twenties, former collegiate miler, outgoing, a truth seeker, probably a Sagittarius
Tamara: Mid twenties, a medical student, funny, Katerina’s former college roommate and best friend
Pete: Mid twenties, a former English major with a self- deprecating sense of humor, good dancer
Dallas: Mid twenties, former all American long jumper, tall, the life of the party.
Margot: Mid twenties, warm and occasionally fiery, an elementary school teacher, Katerina’s girlfriend
