ABOUT THE SHOW

More naughty than nice, David Sedaris’ essay, turned satirical hit play, “The SantaLand Diaries” will be touring four Vermont towns this December 2019.

Jason Lorber stars in the one-man show with performances in Burlington, Middlebury, Randolph, and Waterbury from December 13-to-22, 2019.

Nope, it’s definitely not a traditional Christmas tale. But if you want to laugh your stockings off the fireplace, and enjoy classical, often evil satirical wit, then come.

Bring your entire dysfunctional family. Although probably not your kids. No, definitely don’t bring kids.

The show exposes the underbelly of life working as an elf at Macy’s Santaland, based on Sedaris’ first-hand experience. A favorite of National Public Radio (NPR) and a frequent performer in Vermont, Sedaris had his “SantaLand Diaries” essay grow into a play by Joe Mantello, which has since been featured in cities across America as an annual event since 1996.

Directed by Margo Whitcomb, costumed by Lesly Finlayson, sound engineering by Zak Kline, graphic design by Vikki Day.

Dates: Wednesday December 18, Thursday December 19, Saturday December 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday December 22 Matinee at 2:00 p.m.
