ABOUT THE SHOW
Dear Edwina is an uplifting and heartwarming musical about the joys of growing up. A lovable heroine and advice-giver extraordinaire (think a spunky, singing Dear Abby) Edwina assembles a charmingly goofy troupe to stage a backyard advice-giving extravaganza. Along the way, the youngsters learn about proper dining etiquette, polite manners, coping with an embarrassing sibling, meeting new friends, managing money and savings… even confronting issues involving unrequited love!
“The cast is made up of kids from 3 different states, 6 different schools, and a host of diverse experiences to become a true ensemble of players”, notes Waxman, “it's such a pleasure to be working on such a joyful piece that is all about working together and caring for one another”
While the characters are kids and the subject matter is kid-friendly, the show is filled with songs and laughs and enough musical comedy for general audiences to enjoy. With Musical Direction by James Pecsok and choreography by Katherine Partington the show also boasts fantastic performances by singers and dancers of all levels.
Silly, buoyant and compassionate this uplifting musical will delight audiences of all ages!
