Joy Powers

Joy has been clowning for 15 years, and still can hardly believe her good luck. She performed with Circus Smirkus on their 2006 and 2007 tours, and has worked there for many years since as a staff member and residency artist. She toured with Ringling Brothers from 2009-2012 on their shows ‘Zing Zang Zoom’ and ‘Fully Charged’. She also co-created the critically acclaimed ‘Circus in a Trunk’ as one third of the Piccolini Trio. Most recently, Joy is very proud to have been accepted into the Laughter League, a therapeutic clowning hospital program that brings joy and entertainment directly to the bedsides of sick children and their families. She is also a visual artist and budding illustrator (see @little.bee.123), and a lover of food, dogs, community, and adventure!
