Nick Payne

British playwright Nick Payne is the author of If There Is I Haven’t Found It Yet, winner of the 2009 George Devine Award for Most Promising Playwright), Wanderlust, Lay Down Your Cross, and The Same Deep Water As Me nominated for a 2014 Laurence Olivier Award as Best New Comedy. In London, Constellations was staged at the Royal Court Theatre and the Duke of York’s Theatre. It was the winner of the 2012 Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Play and was nominated for a 2013 Laurence Olivier Award as a MasterCard Best New Play. The American premiere of Constellations was produced on Broadway by Manhattan Theatre Club and the Royal Court Theatre at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in 2014 starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson.
