ABOUT THE ARTIST

Don Crickard (Leonard, Producer) is a veteran WRVP player, starting his WRVP stage career in 1984 in the show You Can’t Take It With You.  This year he is reprising his role as producer of a WRVP musical, his 8th production, after a hiatus of more than 30 years.  During that time, he continued to act in both musicals and stage plays, always with his classic comedic flair.  In his role in this play as the husband Leonard, he shows off his acting skill of juggling multiple tasks and keeping everyone happy as he manages his stage wife, mistress, and real-life wife all at the same time. By day, Don is vice president at LCS Controls here in Rochester and also has his own floral business, SweetWilliam Floral —flowers for all seasons and all reasons!  Don was a member of the Karen Amirault Dance Company for 22 years. Some of his other roles with the WRVP include being a technical director and even president of the board.  Some of his favorite WRVP acting roles were as Rooster in Annie, John Proctor in The Crucible, and Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls
