ABOUT THE ARTIST

Known for her quick wit and comedic timing.  Susie can be found in an array of period costumes, outrageous outfits in full scale to small scale performances.  Landing in Montpelier many years ago she has brought a variety of nonsense, fun and outrage to central Vermont audiences. Viva La Vulva-lution event at Rabble Rouser (2020) was a turning point. She can turn up to parties, open mic nights, weddings and more as an uninvited Mother Superior Nun, Perimenopausal Woman pronouns "Try/ME", one of the Ladies of 17th Century Leisure, one of the Irish Twin Fortunetellers, Bridezilla's United or a Philosophical SauberMachenFrau. She recently wrote, performed and directed in “Whatever Happened to Kissing Frogs?” (2024) at Hubbard Park for the Enchanted Forest event. There were 16 performers, 15 minute show, 8 performances and over 1000 audiences members. Previously recognized as the indomitable Mrs Duffy in NYC 1849 (2022), and then directed and performed in the ensemble piece Love & Physics (2023). She has been working away at this full length script production with her co-writer Caroline Afifi, this is their first attempt at writing a full length theater stage show.  We decided online dating had to be the subject due to its tragic and comic content. Her studio practice includes non-western dance traditions (Thursday class at the Grange), paper-clay sculpture, life-model painter, basket maker and a hat creator. Comedy, improv, writing with social commentary and meaning is her writing focus to date. She is quickly gaining a reputation as a performer and performance writer to watch, appealing to a variety of demographics and ages.
