ABOUT THE ARTIST

Nikki MacCallum (AEA) is a New York City based actress, comedian, and musician. She’s been featured on CBS, VH1 and is a regular at the Grisly Pear Comedy Club. She’s created and starred in three one-woman comedic cabarets in New York, two of which garnered MAC Award nominations. One of those shows, “Familiar Things,” was first developed at The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s Cabaret Conference where Nikki was one of eight artists worldwide hand picked by Musical Director John McDaniel (The Rosie O’Donnell Show). Another one of those shows, Matchmaker Matchmaker I’m Willing to Settle!, was later revamped into a full-blown ensemble musical comedy with an original score (Brandon James Gwinn)—for which MacCallum co-wrote the book (w/ Kelvin Moon Loh). The musical premiered at American Repertory Theater’s second stage: OBERON, under the direction of Allegra Libonati, assistant to Tony Award-winner, Diane Paulus. Matchmaker Matchmaker I’m Willing to Settle! has since been produced at multiple venues around the country, including: NYMF, Ars Nova, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse PiTCH Series, and NYU. As a singer, Nikki has performed at Lincoln Center, 54 Below, and at Birdland where she soloed alongside Tony Award winners Donna Mckechnie and Jerry Mitchell. Her memoir, DRY RUN was released by Auctus Publishers in 2019, shortly after which an audio version was released on Spotify and Apple Podcasts produced by Tony Award winning Lambo Productions.
