Paul Burroughs

I started with my first play in 2004 at the age of 37 when being a single dad with custody of ,my three daughters I took them to a high school play . My daughters would cry and throw a fit when I beat them at games etc and so I realized the stage would make an equal playing ground where we it didnt matter if I was taller, stronger etc. I was speaking to a woman atfter in the lobby and she told me of an audition the next night. I went and got the part of the detective in Arsenic and Old Lace. My kids came to all the rehearsals and woyuld shout out missed lines . My kids joined me in the 3 rd play we did was Achristmas Carol , Aurora and Olivia played ignorance and Want while I played Bob Cratchitt. From there I did many plays over the years with them and with out until they grew up and leftmon their own. I then decided I wanted to try film and landed a pivitol speaking role of a firefighter in 9/11 and was in a scene with Whoopie Goldberg and Gina Gershon in Los Angelos CA. I came back and was the lead in W.A.S.P. . I worked on my documentary next and the pandemic hit us all with not much going on. After the hiatus and vaccines I audtioned for the part of Walter A. Brown the owner of the Celtics and was cast in Sweetwater . I got to Hollywood, WB Studios and my first read through was with Richard Dreyfuss, Cary Elwes, Mike Starr , Jeremy Piven and Paul Hipp. Sweetywater came out in 2023 and I am proud of the work everyone did in it. I love theater and hope to find some work in the industry again.
