ABOUT THE SHOW

Charles Dickens' famous story, A Christmas Carol.

We all know and love Dickens’ famous story A Christmas Carol. MACo proudly presents our original adaptation, true to the novella, which deftly integrates Dickens’ witty, pointed, and socially conscious narrative with the heartwarming and familiar journey Ebenezer Scrooge makes from profiteer to philanthropist. Guided by his ghosts and all the story’s unforgettable characters, Scrooge makes a courageous and uplifting transformation that in turn transforms the world around him – a journey from darkness to light. Join us for a new holiday tradition in Middlebury as we bring to you our imaginative and theatrical version of this classic tale. Our 2023 production will star Jordan Gullikson again as Scrooge with a talented ensemble of newcomers and previous cast members and will feature new, exciting updates. In the spirit of the transformed Scrooge, we offer this holiday show on a pay-as-you-can basis. Directed by Gary Smith and Melissa Lourie.
